About GR Transport
Heavy vehicle driver training for Newcastle, the Central Coast and the Hunter, built on one belief: the path into transport work should be as clearly signposted as the roads it leads to.
How we work
- The ladder before the sales pitch. The first question is never "which course do you want", it is which licence you hold and how long you've held it, because that decides what you're eligible for. The licence ladder puts the whole map on one page.
- Facts cited, not vibed. Eligibility rules on this site are summarised from Transport for NSW and dated. Rules change, so we say when we checked and where to confirm.
- Trainers who drive. Training comes from experienced operators who spend their working lives in these vehicles, on these roads, and it covers the real work: coupling, reversing, load sense, not just the test.
- Manual and automatic. Training is available in both, matched to the work you're heading for.
The region we serve
Newcastle, the Central Coast and the Hunter: a region that moves on heavy vehicles, from port freight to vineyards to mines. Licence training here isn't an abstract qualification, it's the entry ticket to most of the region's biggest employers.
Whether you're starting out, upgrading a rung, or coming back to driving after years away, tell us where you're at and we'll tell you the next step.
